Arranged For You

Not on site — but we book it

We tell you plainly what we do not have here, and then organise it rather than sending you to find it yourself.

CT Scan

Arranged at a partnered imaging centre within a few minutes of the hospital; urgent trauma and stroke scans are prioritised and reported by our radiologists.

MRI

Booked for you at a partnered centre, with transport arranged for admitted patients and the report brought back to your treating doctor.

Mammography

Referred to a partnered centre; our surgeon reviews the report and plans the next step with you.

Specialised & molecular tests

Samples collected here and sent to an accredited reference laboratory, with no extra handling charge.

Why we say this openly A 100-bed hospital does not need to own every machine, and claiming otherwise wastes your time. What matters is that the test gets done quickly and that your own doctor sees the result — which is what we organise, at the partner centre's own rates.
Before Your Test

Preparation & reports

Fasting of 10–12 hours is needed for blood sugar (fasting), lipid profile and most health packages. Plain water is fine and is in fact encouraged. Tests like CBC, thyroid, dengue and kidney function do not need fasting. If you take blood pressure, thyroid or heart medicines, take them as usual with a sip of water.

For most routine tests you can walk in and pay at the counter. A prescription is needed for controlled investigations and for anything that will be billed to insurance, and we always recommend having a doctor decide which test you actually need.

Blood, urine, ECG and X-ray reports are ready the same day — most routine bloods within 4 hours. Cultures take 48–72 hours because the organism has to grow. Ultrasound reports are handed over during the same visit.

Yes. Reports are held at the laboratory counter and can be collected any time with your receipt, or emailed to you on request. For admitted patients they go straight to the treating doctor.

Yes, within Patna city limits for blood and urine tests. Call the hospital line to book a slot. Tests needing equipment — X-ray, ultrasound, ECG, TMT, endoscopy — have to be done at the hospital.

Yes. A printed rate list is displayed at the laboratory counter and you can ask for the price of any test before it is done. Package rates for grouped tests are cheaper than ordering them individually.

Diagnostics done as part of an admission are usually covered. Outpatient tests are generally not, unless your policy has an OPD benefit. Our insurance desk will check your specific policy before you pay.

Do not act on it alone — a single abnormal value often means very little without the clinical picture. Book a consultation and bring the report; if something is urgent, the laboratory calls the treating doctor directly.
