Who We Are

A trauma centre that still feels like a neighbourhood hospital.

CM Hospital is a 100-bed multi-speciality and trauma centre on Bailey Road in Patna, opposite Pantaloons Mall. We were built around a simple gap: accident and emergency cases from this side of the city were travelling too far for care that should have been minutes away.

Today the emergency floor, ICU, operation theatres, maternity unit, dialysis, laboratory and a 24x7 pharmacy all sit in one building, with over 40 doctors and specialists across medicine, surgery, orthopaedics, obstetrics, paediatrics and critical care.

The principle we hold to is straightforward: a patient should get an honest answer about what is wrong, what the options are and what it will cost — before treatment begins, not after. And in an emergency, nobody is asked for money before care starts.

What Drives Us

Mission, vision and the things we will not compromise on

Our Mission

To give the people of Patna a hospital they can reach in minutes and afford without selling something — where emergency care never waits for payment and the cost is written down before treatment begins.

Our Vision

To be the trauma and multi-speciality centre that Bihar turns to first — measured not by the size of the building but by what happens inside it at three in the morning.

Our Journey

How the hospital came together

  • Beginning

A trauma gap on Bailey Road

Accident and emergency cases from Bailey Road and the western approaches to Patna were travelling far for trauma care. CM Hospital was planned to close that gap.

  • Build

    100 beds across the floors

General wards, twin-sharing and private rooms were commissioned with electric beds, piped oxygen and nurse-call on every bed.

  • Emergency

    24x7 emergency and trauma floor

A round-the-clock emergency floor with resuscitation bays, emergency drug trolley and direct lift access to the operation theatres.

  • Critical

    ICU and HDU commissioned

Ventilators, multi-para monitors and infusion pumps with trained critical-care nursing on every shift, day and night.

  • Surgery

    Modular operation theatres

Laminar-flow theatres for general, orthopaedic, obstetric and laparoscopic surgery, with one theatre always kept free for emergencies.

  • Maternity

    Obstetrics & gynaecology unit

Labour room, maternity beds and a dedicated obstetric theatre with 24x7 obstetric and paediatric cover.

  • Diagnostics

    In-house lab and imaging

Pathology, biochemistry and microbiology running 24x7 alongside digital X-ray, ultrasound and colour Doppler, with same-day routine reporting.

  • Today

    A full multi-speciality centre

Over 40 doctors and specialists, a 24x7 pharmacy and ambulance service, and cashless treatment under Ayushman Bharat and leading insurers.

Laboratory quality control

Daily internal controls on every analyser, with reagent and calibration records maintained

Informed consent

Every procedure explained and consented in writing, in the language the patient understands

Bio-medical waste handling

Colour-coded segregation and authorised disposal in line with statutory requirements

Fire & electrical safety
