International Patients
Patients from Nepal, Bangladesh, Afghanistan, Iraq, Kenya, Nigeria and the Gulf are treated here every month. Here is how we make it straightforward.

- Free opinion and estimate — email us your reports and receive a written medical opinion with a cost estimate within 48 working hours
- Visa assistance — we issue the visa invitation letter required for an Indian medical visa (MED VISA), along with an appointment confirmation
- Airport pickup — complimentary transfer from Patna airport for admitted patients, with a coordinator who speaks your language
- Accommodation — guest houses and serviced apartments within two kilometres, from budget to premium, booked on your behalf
- Interpreters — Arabic, French, Russian, Bengali, Nepali and Swahili available on request during consultations and rounds
- Follow-up after you leave — scheduled phone reviews, reports read remotely by your treating doctor, and prescriptions sent by email

Before you book a flight
An Indian Medical Visa (MED VISA) is the correct category, and one attendant can travel on a MED-X attendant visa. We issue the invitation letter that the embassy asks for once your appointment is confirmed. Do not travel on a tourist visa for planned treatment — it complicates hospital admission and insurance.
Email your reports, scans and a summary of the problem to our international desk. Our specialist reviews them and we send a written estimate covering surgeon fees, hospital stay, implants and investigations, along with an expected length of stay. There is no charge for this.
For routine planned procedures it is usually within 10–15% of the final bill. Complications, extended ICU stay or additional procedures can increase it, and we always inform you and your family before incurring any significant additional cost.
By international wire transfer to our bank, or by card or cash in Indian rupees at the hospital. An advance deposit is required at admission for planned procedures, and the balance is settled at discharge with a full itemised bill.
It depends on the procedure — typically 7–10 days in India for angioplasty, 14–21 days for bypass or joint replacement, and 4–6 weeks for a transplant. Your coordinator will give you a specific plan including the post-discharge review before you fly.
Yes. Private and deluxe rooms accommodate one or two attendants overnight, and we help book nearby accommodation for larger families. Attendant meal plans can be added to your bill.
We schedule phone reviews at set intervals, read the reports you email us, and coordinate with a doctor in your own country where needed. This is included for the first six months after major surgery.
We follow documented infection-control, consent and medication-safety protocols that are audited internally every month, and our laboratory runs daily quality controls. You are welcome to visit the wards and theatre before deciding, and to ask for our outcome figures for the specific procedure you are considering.
