Insurance, TPA & Cashless
Ayushman Bharat, government schemes and the major private insurers — and what to bring so the paperwork does not hold up admission.
How cashless admission works here
If your policy covers the treatment and the insurer approves it, you pay nothing at discharge except what the policy excludes. The approval is what takes the time, so start it as early as you can.
For a planned admission
Tell us before you come
Call the insurance desk with your policy number at least 48 hours ahead.
Pre-authorisation is raised
We send the estimate and the clinical notes to your insurer or TPA.
Approval comes back
Most insurers respond within a working day for a planned procedure.
Admission with nothing to pay
You settle only the non-covered items, itemised, at discharge.
In an emergency
Treatment starts first. Pre-authorisation is raised once the patient is stable — insurers allow this, and no one is asked to arrange money before care begins.
Documents to bring for cashless treatment
- Insurance card or e-card, and the policy number
- Photo ID for the patient — Aadhaar is easiest
- For Ayushman Bharat: the PMJAY card and the beneficiary’s Aadhaar
- Previous prescriptions and reports for the condition being treated
- The employer letter, for corporate policies
